Yay, spring is here, and summer is well on the way, after a few false starts, most people are enjoying some decent weather finally.
After a long, cold winter, you’re probably ready to enjoy all of the fun that summer has to offer. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of this summer:
Get outside
It seems obvious, but the best way to enjoy the warm months is by actually getting outside. Whether it’s a picnic in the park, drinks at a rooftop bar, or a stroll in the sun, summer is best enjoyed with the sun on your skin (don’t forget that SPF though).
If you’re finding that spring has your allergies acting up, try a hay fever nasal spray.
Be social
Be honest: How many social occasions did you blow off in winter because you really didn’t want to brave the freezing temperatures and you wanted to binge watch Netflix instead? If you’re like most of us, you probably have a few friends who you haven’t seen for a few months. Now’s the time to make up for it and find out what’s been going on in everyone else’s lives.
Be active
It’s hard to convince yourself to go for a run or get to the gym when the weather isn’t great. But when the sun is shining you can get to work on your beach body- and get healthier at the same time. Whether you’d like to take up a new sport, set a goal like running a 5k, or simply take the dog for a few more walks, summer is all about getting active.
Have a clean out
There’s a reason it’s called “spring cleaning”, and as the weather warms up you may naturally find yourself getting rid of a few clothes and other items that you no longer need lying around the house.
Now’s a great time to go through your wardrobe and remove anything you haven’t worn for the past year. That goes for too-small jeans, out-of-date dresses, and cheap heels that kill your feet. You’ll feel great once you’ve had a good clean out, and you can see where you really have holes in your summer wardrobe.
