I personally love buying myself a Christmas gift each year, something a little special that makes my Christmas day feel a little more magical. Incase you’re wondering, yes I wrap my gift and put it under the tree. I always try to get myself something that I’ll really enjoy, and so if you’re thinking about a Christmas gift idea for yourself, here are four suggestions:
1. New Headphones
I’m big into listening to music and audiobooks and I love walking, so a good set of headphones are really useful for me. My current headphones are amazing and noise cancelling, but they unfortunately have a cord, making it difficult to walk my dogs while listening to books. There are so many great headphones at different price points, but I’m currently trying to decide between the Bose Wireless headphones or the new Apple Airpods.
2. A New Phone
Phones these days have so many purposes – they’re a great way to keep in touch with loved ones, they’ve become our cameras and photo albums, and they’re also used by many of us to work on and make our livings. Isn’t it crazy how much we use them? As such, having a good phone that works properly is a great investment. The type of phone you’ll want and how much you’ll be able to spend will depend on your budget but I think they’re a great Christmas gift to yourself.
3. A Trip Somewhere
Is there anything better than a vacation? I personally don’t think so. You can choose to go on a trip to visit friends, family, or even just somewhere exotic you have always wanted to visit. Sometimes I think it’s better to spend a little more on flights, to visit somewhere that’s more affordable so you can “splash out” and have a fun trip without breaking the bank. Places that are great value include South East Asia, Central America and Eastern Europe. You can even ask a friend or family member to join you on your trip!
4. Something Fun
Sometimes it’s nice to get yourself something fun that you’ve always wanted. Whether that’s an accessory for your car, a quirky drink bottle or something from JS Dolls. Whatever you choose, make sure it’s something you’re really going to enjoy! Sometimes we struggle to spend money on ourselves, instead choosing to focus on others. This proves more true at Christmas time, but I think it’s really special to get yourself something that’s been on your wish list for a while and it can make Christmas feel really special.
Christmas is all about giving and spending time with your family and loved ones, but I think there’s no harm in treating yourself to something special!
