Yay! Easter is finally here. I don’t know about you, but I plan to make the most of this long weekend. There is definitely a lot of chocolate eating to do, but I also want to be productive and have fun.
What do you have planned? If you’re like a deer in the headlights when it comes to filling any free time, here are some ideas for you for this weekend:
I know, sometimes hanging out with family can be exhausting. But take it from someone who doesn’t live close to hers, spending time with loved ones is what these holidays are all about. I’m planning to Skype my family this weekend since I can’t be there in person, and if you live away from your family you may want to do the same. Otherwise, grab a bottle of wine and some chocolate and head to the parent’s place for brunch.
I don’t know about you, but I could really use some relaxation this weekend. One of my favourite ways to do this is by heading to Lush and grabbing one of their bathbombs. I then grab a good book and some chocolate and can happily lie in the bath for over an hour. I also like to grab a good movie or tv series (Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal are my favourites), and curl up in front of my laptop or TV for a few hours to decompress. Whatever you end up doing this weekend, try to find some room for relaxation so you can return to work feeling refreshed.
Make some money
Just because you’re not at work doesn’t mean you can’t still make some money this weekend. I personally like to use long weekends as a chance to think through some ideas for my business or catch up on work so I can feel a step ahead when it’s time to get back into it. If you’re considering launching a business, now is a great time to make your business plan- you don’t have the excuse that you don’t have enough time.
If you’re a freelancer, why not spend some time checking out some opportunities that you can explore further over the coming week? One fun option is to . Not only is this a good way to make some extra money, but you can also use it as relaxation time since it’s so fun.
Hang with friends
If your friends are in town, send them a message and make an effort to catch up. People are usually more relaxed over the holidays, so now can be a great time to see what’s going on in everyone’s lives and hang out with old friends.
